All, I didn't go personally but I received this email from a friend at work today...
Angie Some of you may already know this, but I thought I would share just incase. I highly recommend that you do not go to bridges, the restaurant just over the bridge by the river boat as you are going towards Washington Park. It was the worst lunch experience I have possibly ever had. The service is awful and the food is even worse. It took so long to get our food, it was just absolutely ridiculous. Then when it finally came, it was a gigantic let down. On top of the food being horrible, it is way over priced. That’s not a very good combination. I personally vow never to return. Sorry for venting, but I was so disappointed that not only am I never giving them business again, but I wanted to prevent others from giving them business as well. |

That's odd. I haven't been there yet this year, but every other time I've gone to Bridges, I've had great experiences. It is a bit pricey, but the food was really good.

When I review a place or read one, I like to describe the place, how the food was prepared, eetc., so I would like more details about the visit there.

To be honest, I have never personally had a meal at Bridges. It is my parents favorite place to eat, however, and they constantly rave about it. My dad is from the east coast and swears the seafood is the only that he has had since he moved here that close to rivals "home."

I'm not a huge seafood fan, but I did like their chicken caesar salad wrap, and the sweet potato fries were the best!

Wow. Comes as a shock to me. Service has always been a little slow and the food a bit overpriced for what you get. However, the staff is always friendly and the food is at or above average. The reason I always recommend it to family and friends is the great atmosphere. Boats and ducks going up and down the river. Outside seating. An occasional train and the best spot in town to watch the Amtrack bridge swing open and closed. I have a co-worker from Chesterton that I recommended the restaurant to who is there semi-regularly and never has a bad word. Sometimes you just catch a place on a bad night or it just doesn't really fit your style. Myself, I give it thumbs up.

I've never heard of the place. Don't know where it is, what kind of food they serve or what their sign looks like otherwise I would inundate you with details Roger. You know me...

Usually at lunch time restaurants know pppl are kinda rushed and the service is geared to this. Does reddevil have any info re what was ordered and if the "friend" asked why service was delayed?
