I would bet it is, and I would bet that City is in 1st in the DAC right now, unless CP is undefeated in the DAC as they are only DAC team to beat City.

Is there anywhere that has historical baseball info for City? I'd like to post about it if so.

Michigan City falls to 9-3 on the season and 5-2 in the DAC as Lake Central beats them, not sure the exact score but it was pretty bad, as my dad left the game as it was ending and said it was like 17-1 or 17-2, so it was a tough day. Michigan City is playing at Mishawaka this afternoon.

Michigan City is currently 2nd in the conference behind Crown Point, who has lost one conference game to LaPorte. I would have to say that this is one of the best starts in the history of the program.

Michigan City falls to 10-4 overall and 5-3 in the DAC as they lose at home to Crown Point 6-4. City led 4-1 going into the top of the 7th but couldn't close the deal. Next game is on Wednesday at home against LaPorte.

Three kids were benched this game for missing the game on Saturday, because they were taking the SAT. Punishing kids for wanting to advance their education? I get the fact that games shouldn't be missed but how can you punish kids for wanting to go to college. Their education will advance them in life, not what they do on the ball diamond. Then you lose the game 6-4 and wonder what the outcome would of been with those three players in the game.

That's too bad that a kid gets punished for taking a SAT test. I would bet the kids felt like they were already punished when the game schedule came out and conflicted with the SAT testing. Sometimes a coach needs to be able to bend his own rules. Maybe not start them but allow them to sub later in the game to pinch run/pinch hit or close out a game? I'm sure when everyone looks back at it down the road taking the test and getting into a college will better serve the kids than a baseball game.

Rules are rules though and hard to argue the point much if everyone knows them and everyone is held to the same standard.

I believe City is 12-8 right now. They are in a rough patch right now, as they have lost to Portage, Lake Central and Valpo this week. They beat Valpo and Portage earlier this year. City hosts Merrillville tomorrow. City will play Crown Point in the 1st round of the sectional next Wednesday at Chesterton.

Michigan City is 15-9 now, as they played a doubleheader against South Bend Riley today, and won both games 2-1 in game 1 and 7-2 in game 2. Regular Season Finale is Tuesday at home against East Chicago and then the sectional game at Chesterton on Wednesday against Crown Point.

Michigan City is 16-8 now, as they beat East Chicago 8-1 in a game that was cut short due to weather. Sectionals are tomorrow, as City will play at 5:00 PM at Chesterton in the first game of the sectional against Crown Point.
