Here's what we've got planned for the boat race this year.
Thanks to everyone for helping us make last year's inaugural race such a success.
We've added events and a few days to this year's race as we're hoping to get the community even more involved.
So take a look ...

Race Week Schedule

TUESDAY, AUG. 3
Community kickoff party, site TBA.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 4
Golf Outing, Briar Leaf Golf Club

THURSDAY, AUG. 5
7 - 9 p.m., 2010 Super Boat Great Lakes Grand Prix kickoff party, Matey’s. VIP and public invited. Live music and entertainment.

FRIDAY, AUG. 6
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Youth sailing regatta, Washington Park Beach.
Noon to 5 p.m., Washington Park Marina Tours.
1 p.m. to midnight, public meet and greet racer party, The Clubhouse.
5 to 7:30 p.m., VIP/Racer Party, McGinnis Pub.
8 p.m. Venetian Night Parade, Trail Creek/Channel
8 p.m. Racer meet and Greet, The Game, Blue Chip Casino
9 to 11 p.m., Live music, JC Pavilion, Washington Park. (Band TBA).

SATURDAY, AUG. 7
Noon – 5 p.m. Classic Car show, Washington Park
1 p.m. U.S. Coast Guard SAR demonstration, Washington Park Beach
6 p.m. Boat parade, Franklin Street.
7 – 11 p.m., Block (boat) Party; 7th Street and Washington.

SUNDAY, AUG. 8
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Silent Auction benefitting LaPorte County Chapter, American Red Cross and Indiana Organ Procurement Organization, bumper car pavilion, Washington Park.
11 a.m. Military flyover (tentative)
11 a.m. VIP tent/brunch, boardwalk, live music.
1 p.m. RACE
5 p.m. Awards ceremony, VIP/Public event, Blue Chip Casino Hotel and Spa.
