How many folks here enjoyed Maxine & Heinie's in its heyday? What a great MC institution that was. My parents loved the place, and my dad had many a "political meeting" at the bar there during his tenure as mayor of OFC. We did the books for M&H at Miller Tax Service and we were all frequent visitors to the restaurant. Heinie's birthday was right around Christmas and his yearly BD/Christmas party was a highlight of the holiday season. The food at Maxine & Heinie's was simply fabulous - gand they had a great staff who had all been there for years and treated you like family. Maxine was rarely at the restaurant - at least during the time I was going there - but Hienie was the classic innkeeper type - always going around to tables and greeting everyone.

Anyone else have any memories of this fine MC establishment they'd like to share?
