Male found fatally wounded in Michigan City

Police are investigating the shooting death of a Michigan City man, and the arrest of another.
Just before midnight Thursday, authorities received an emergency call from 109 ½ W. Williams Street.
They found the unidentified victim and another male, who is being detained in the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
I wonder why the police have to investigate an arrest. You'd think they'd know all about it.
Some of what passes for journalism in these parts is enough to make me cry.
