Full Version: NICTD Testing New Double Decker South Shore Cars
The first two new double-decker railcars were out testing yesterday; passed down 11th Street between 1 and 2 PM. They'll be out on the line periodically, during acceptance testing. Don't panic if you see them!

They look a lot like the new Metra cars. Here's a shot of them:

Not as much panache as the orange cars but they look like they will be more comfortable.
Are those cars sitting up at the shops? I'd love to get some pics!
They have very comfortable seats, according to the Ass't CMO, with whom I spoke. The cars are likely sitting outside, probably visible from the Roeske Avenue bridge.
