I don't think it is any secret that with it being the time that candidates are starting to declare whether they are in or out for the City elections next year, that there have been tons of rumors out there. One rumor that has boiled under the surface for a while now is that Mayor Oberlie will not run for re-election during this cycle. I didn't think much of it, until I saw someone mention that supposedly City employees were gathered in some form and informed of the Mayor not running in 2011. I took the initiative to email the mayors office, both for a response on the Mayor's status for the next election, and to see if any such meeting took place. This is the answer I got from City Hall.



Without any sort of denial, I think is appropriate to let the real speculation begin.

Let me crack open the bottle of Champagne I saved just for this occasion! (I don't care what time of day it is )
