So after 4 1/2 years of my family dealing with the POS JOHN LARKIN killing my wonderful sister Stacey Simon Larkin. The appellate court did not overturn the ruling so that means that there is a killer roaming the streets in Long Beach Indiana. I am so disappointed in the justice system the has let our family go through this heartache and pain for so long and not bringing this POS SOB to trial or justice. He may be a free man but he has to live with the thought of knowing that he killed my sister, my mom and dad's daughter, aunts and uncles niece & cousin's and his children's mother. I hope you fry in HELL YOU ASS****.

That is two killers that are out on the street due to our justice systems failings locally. Both of them are free people because our legal teams were listening in on privileged conversations.

You know that you can sue him for defamation of character for the terrible things he is saying about you to everyone who will listen. You'd likely find a lawyer who would take the case on a contingency basis because it is such an obvious case of defamation.

Has anyone seen this POS ,SOB around town what is he doing with his loser life. Is the house that he murdered his wife up for sale still. I hope no one ever buys it knowing what he did to that wonderful person STACEY SIMON .

Well it looks like all briefs have been filed , the decision is now in the hands of the Supreme Court to see if they will over turn the ruling and send this POS to trial. For those who have supported the family, THANK YOU. Let's hope for a ruling in our favor. This man should not get away with killing Stacey and not facing some kind of jury.

It looks like the Supreme Court accepted the State's appeal. Bad news for John.

Here is the information on the oral argument. If anyone is interested I know myself and family members will be at this to show support for Stacey.

The Court has determined the above-captioned case merits oral argument. The argument
will be conducted in the Courtroom of the Indiana Supreme Court, 317 Statehouse, 200 West
Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana on:
Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.

I found it. Here is the link to the Indiana Supreme Court decision:

Indiana Supreme Court Opinion
The Aunt
The Supreme Court over turned the dismissal and is sending this case to trial. I read in the New Dispatch article that "the Larkin Family are disappointed and they are going to fight until justice is done and John and the children can heal and move on"

It seems that in the past 51/2 years they have moved on quite well there is no memory of Stacey, Her family are the ones that need time to heal and be able to move on with their lives, they have been putting everything on hold to see Justice done for Stacey.

They can say what they want but the fact remains that Johnny boy killed his wife, she was shot twice, he is claiming it was an accident, she turned the gun on herself how on earth do you shoot yourself twice in two different areas of the body accidentally?

Update on the Larkin case.

Order Issued
(ORDER SIGNED BY CRYSTAL A. KOCHER, PULASKI SUPERIOR COURT) Judge Blankenship resigned in 2017, case is now returned to La Porte Circuit Court for Judge appointment.

I would like the public to know that the grandmother of Stacey's children (Stacey mom), who did everything for those children while living out by Stacey, never was allowed to see the grandchildren after all this happened. Now John ( in his oh I did nothing wrong voice and face)will tell people he never forbid the grandma to see her but I know for a fact he did, along with Stacey's brother and his wife along with other family from Stacey's side. Now it is too late because Grandma has passed away and PIECE OF SHIT did this to this family. First he takes away the children's mother then not to let Grandma see those kids. She died of a broken heart that no one could fix. So ASSHOLE I hope you go to trial and the jury finds your CHICKEN SHIT ASS GUILTY. You deserve to sit in front of the jury ,Stacey's family, friends and the public want to see his ASS found guilty and be put in jail and let KARMA get it's payback. Just wanted the public and residents of Long Beach to know how this ASSHOLE works

Looks like there will be a status Hearing on 12/18/18 in Porter county Superior court at 9:00 am. Judge Bradford court. Hopefully it will get ball rolling to bring this POS to trial. This 7 days after the 6year anniversary of Stacey's death
Disappointed
Looks like trial date will be scheduled for September 9-13 2019. It will be in Laporte County. When and if it does go to trial it will be over 6 1/2 years that the POS has been free. I hope the residents of Long Beach and surrounding areas remember what this MONSTER did to Stacey.
Disappointed
Just wanted to say this is the 6th anniversary that the POS took Stacey's life and he is still walking around a free man. She did not deserve to have her life taken by such a Fu**ing coward. I hope you feel good about yourself ASSHO**. Till this day he or the children have never been to the cemetery, kids were the day of her funeral but not since. I will put money on it they even don't know where it's located or could even find Stacey's grave, I think he has brainwashed them so bad they have forgotten about her. So on this anniversary if you knew Stacey or are following this trail please say a prayer for her today.

Does anyone know the results of the taint hearing? I assume that his statement can be used because the Supreme Court specifically listed it as untainted evidence.

Well it was more a hearing on them trying to get it dismissed again, court lasted 3 1/2 hours. It was the biggest BS saying everything the State did was wrong. Now waiting on Judge Bradford decision.

On a funnier note did anyone see that the former Judge Blankenship was arrested in Pulaski County. A total bunch of funny business

They're trying to get it dismissed after the Supreme Court said the court wrongly dismissed it in the first place? Crazy! (but I guess after the first judge, anything's possible)

I hear there's an investigative report in the works. They are interested in why Indiana has such a hard time trying a man who shot an unarmed woman. TWICE! The stuff on that corrupt judge will be a great side line.

GUILTY Involuntary Manslaughter Sentencing October 21st @1:30 pm in Michigan Superior court 1

I went to the trial because I had read so much about the twists and turns of the case over the years and was interested in hearing the actual evidence. I have no "horse in the race", so to speak and was expecting to hear a lot of what has been printed. I have to say that I was amazed to see the reporter from the News Dispatch happily chatting with the defendant's family and friends during the breaks. After hearing the evidence, I can only conclude that the news reporting is HEAVILY biased, for whatever reason. The paper entirely ignores any of the evidence that was damaging to the defendant and to which he admitted during the police interview that they played, such as the fact that he had possession of the gun the entire time and said that his wife was "not getting out of the closet" or the bizarre recorded 911 call where the operator thinks he was the one shot (I think he actually chuckled at one point). I felt bad for his kids who testified on his behalf but the news coverage is what is very disturbing to me. A small community relies on the press for accurate reporting (particularly of local news) and this makes me think that everything I've read in the paper over the years has been written with an agenda in mind and is not the whole story. If anyone knows any of the jurors or an unbiased person who heard the evidence, I urge you to ask them about it and confirm everything I've written for yourself. It's really sad to see the state of journalism today. It's seems to be all about manipulating opinion.

I agree with you. Good journalism is hard to find. Almost 100% of the stories that I have contributed a story to any newspaper, and I know exactly what the facts are in the submitted story, always come out with something that is either made up or incorrect. I think most of the time they do not do it on purpose, usually it is ignorance, or lack of experience. They need to learn to ask clarifying questions and/or repeat back what they just heard and/or ask the source to proof the article before publication. For example, I wrote into the N-D about that person getting stuck in the Franklin Street bridge about if they asked if the bridge has an e-stop that the attendant can hit to immediately stop the bridge in whatever position it is in and they never published my letter to the paper. As a citizen that travels that bridge frequently, I would like to know, because if it does not have one, that is extremely unsafe for the public, and if it does have one, why didn't the bridge attendant use it? I would think a good reporter would have asked that question as one of the top 3 questions.

In regards to what you said about the trial, I noticed that the last three stories in the paper including the one that said Larkin was guilty used his "nice" picture. Wouldn't they use his mugshot for the article that said he was found guilty? They made it look like he was happy to serve 2-8 years. I also was interested in knowing the facts, but I did not have time to attend the trial. Thanks for sharing what you heard.

All I have to say is that I hope the Judge takes in consideration Stacey's family and friends and realizes the pain and suffering they have gone through over the last 6 1/2 years. He just didn't take away a mother , he took away a daughter,sister,aunt,sister-in-law,cousin and a friend to many. I really think he deserves the max of 8 years in which he would only serve 4 if good behavior. Just my opinion.

It's been a year since he was found guilty and still no time served. The case is in the Court of Appeals right now and the Court has requested an oral argument via Zoom. Hopefully the Judges will make the correct decision and not overturn the ruling if they do he walks a free man . Here is the latest on the Docket from the courts.

Order Scheduling Oral Argument
Having reviewed the matter, the Court finds and orders as follows: 1. This case is scheduled for a remote Oral Argument using the Zoom application for the following date and time: Thursday, October 22, 2020 11:00 a.m., (Indianapolis Time) 2. The argument will be web-cast at www.IN.gov/judiciary. 3. Prior to the oral argument, the Court will provide counsel with a link that will allow them to participate in the oral argument. Counsel are ordered not to forward or share this link without permission from the Court. 4. Counsel shall not record the oral argument. 5. No later than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled oral argument, counsel are ordered to contact the Court's Director of Communications to schedule a test Zoom meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to ensure that counsel has adequate technology to participate in the oral argument. 6. Counsel are directed to join the Zoom meeting with the Court's Director of Communications twenty (20) minutes prior to the start time of the scheduled oral argument. 7. Counsel shall be dressed appropriately for a courtroom. 8. Counsel shall participate using a laptop computer or computer monitor with a front-facing camera. Counsel shall eliminate all unnecessary background noise and/or activity. Counsel should use a neutral, non-distractive background that is properly lighted. 9. The bailiff will join the meeting before the start of the oral argument to determine whether Appellant wants to reserve any time for rebuttal. Thereafter, the bailiff will begin the oral argument with the call to order. A clock will be displayed showing counsel the amount of time they have left to argue. 10. Each side will be allotted twenty (20) minutes for argument. 11. No documents or motions will be entertained at the time of the argument. Any document, motion, or documentary exhibit that a party seeks to present to the Court for the oral argument must be filed with the Clerk of the Court at least twenty-four (24) hours before
