Best wishes to MCHS swimmer Matthew Quinlan who will be competing in the 200 yard individual medley at the state finals swim meet beginning Friday in Indianapolis.
MC's Matthew Quinlan placed 8th in the state in the 200 yard backstroke today.
Chesterton dominatned the meet by winning the team state championship, winning state championships in 6 seperate events and one runner-up as well as breaking four state records in the process.
La Porte's Josh Arndt won back to back state championships in the diving competition.

Going through the IHSAA website I found this to be pretty incredible.
Dave Phelps from Michigan City Rogers won the state championship in the 200 yard free style three years straight from '75-'77. He also won state in the 500 yard freestyle when he was a junior, in order to swim 500 yards that means you got to swim the length of the pool back and fourth 20 times.
