Did Super Save Foods close? This is the store in Eastgate Plaza. I haven't seen any cars around the store for the past few days.

I have not been in there since they changed hands with K&M.

They're still open. Although I'm surprised because most of the shelves are empty. To my knowledge, they have no plans to close, but I will ask the very next time I go in and see what they have to say.

Well, I guess they are closed, but not permanently.
I went there today and they have a sign up that says they're closed due to frozen pipes but hope to reopen soon.

Ron Miller reported on WEFM today that the owners of the store are bankrupt.

Too bad but not unexpected. You can buy groceries just about anywhere - gas stations, drug stores, home improvement stores, hardware stores, etc. Not enough business to go around.

According to this link they filed under chapter 7 on March 10th. I don't think they will be reopening anytime soon.

I went by there today and there were two fancy "rich people" cars parked in front of the store and two guys in suits standing in front of the doors. I didn't walk up to the store because those gentlemen looked "official" and I figured they were either bankers or lawyers.
Guess they were.
Sad to hear that store is closed for good.
But, like I said, the shelves were almost empty and I think the only people who shopped there on a regular basis are the Seniors who have shopped there for the last 50 years, or people who live within walking distance, and me.
