Ashleigh Ellenwood has been Razor sharp.
The Arkansas junior and Michigan City product leads the Razorbacks in scoring and helped the team knock off Kentucky 2-1 in overtime Friday night in the Southeastern Conference soccer opener for both teams.
Ellenwood, who was second team All-SEC last season, has 15 points on the season, including seven assists and four goals.
Arkansas is 5-2-2 overall and 1-0 in the SEC, thanks to Ellenwood, who set Michigan City’s school record with 32 goals in 2008.
Ellenwood played in 20 matches with a team-high six goals during her freshman season, earning SEC All-Freshman honors.
Ellenwood’s ricochet goal in the 88th minute gave the Razorbacks a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma State in front of a record-setting crowd of 2,268 on Aug. 24.
