Long awaited bus service between Purdue North Central, Michigan City and LaPorte has been approved.
The LaPorte County Council and LaPorte County Commissioners on Wednesday night approved the terms of a three-year interlocal agreement previously entered into by PNC, Michigan City and LaPorte.
Originally, the goal was to start the bus service in August but issues that included union drivers in Michigan City expressing concern about having to operate the service with non-union drivers from LaPorte created some delay.
