Michigan City-based Horizon Bank is helping to get more Northwest Indiana residents into affordable homes.
The bank contributed $15,000 to the Northwest Indiana Reinvestment Alliance, a 29-year-old nonprofit that promotes fair housing and fair lending.
“On behalf of the Horizon Bank Charitable Grant Program, I am thrilled that this donation will be used to help fund the Affordable Housing Program that helps so many Lake County area residents,” Horizon Bank Lake County Market President Zoran Koricanac said.
The Northwest Indiana Reinvestment Alliance offers the community a number of services, including financial coaching, home ownership counseling, foreclosure modification counseling and neighborhood stabilization program counseling.
