6 months has now past since the tragedy occurred at in the FOP on Johnson Rd. in Trail Creek on January 3rd.

By now all of La Porte county has seen the aftermath of this disaster and we are now into the summer tourist season.

By now any type of investigations and insurance claims have been processed. Is this an arson investigation?

It is very sad and depressing for the motoring public to have to keep driving by and seeing this.

My condolences continue to go out to the family, friends, fire fighters, investigators and members of the FOP.

I asked the Trail Creek Police about this. They made it sound like it was insurance related. Perhaps the insurance companies (personal and/or property) are fighting the payoff and the delay is THEIR investigation into what caused the fire. Haven't heard much about the proven cause so that may say something.
