Lions and tigers are set to get more space to roam.

The Build for the Big Cats project will add more space for the felines to pounce and play.

The Washington Park Zoo in Michigan City will soon start work on a 1.6-million-dollar habitat.

The zoo has not announced a construction start date.

Once construction has started zoo officials are expecting that some pathways will be closed while the work takes place.

This project is one of several planned improvements at the zoo.
