A couple photos from Monday.
Morning: Evening: The Marsh (almost dark): "The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. It is common sense to take a method and try it: If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something."

I like the way the sun glows off the rails making them look like streaks of fire.
Hmmmm, a possible candidate for the logo? Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess

Is that the boat hotel in the 3rd picture? If so, what a behemoth!
Seriously, I was thinking that might make a good logo for CBTL, but I'm not sure how I like the boat hotel being in it.

Yes, that is our new skyscraper. We've finally made it! The building is a part of our skyline now, no denying it. The marsh is on the east side of the Moon Valley land tract. A little dried out this time of year. Here's a shot at it. Wrong lake, though. And here are a few more from Monday morning: And p.m.: There are actually a lot of structures that can be identified in these photos. I can count at least twelve. How about you? Actually I like that one. You should post it in the logo thread.
I know it's the wrong lake, but our name isn't City By Lake Michigan. It's just City By The Lake, so I'm sure any lake would do? HA HA Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess

In the "Logo" photo, do we have to use that Star Trek font?

In the "Logo" photo, do we have to use that Star Trek font? No, that could be changed to a Battleship Gallactica font, for example. Pardon my geekdom, but that would be Battlestar Galactica.... Ah, you my friend have been caught by my very subtle geek-trap. This is a lot easier than scoping out the Star Trek Conventions. Kittens, anyone? I'm painting the house, BTW. "The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. When you said Kittens, I thought of the Fried Cat restaurant on 212. Has anyone on the board ever eaten there?

Well, it is called Fried Cat, so I think that is what they cook up and serve.

Pictures from tonight's storm. I don't know what damage (if any) was done in the area. We seemed to have dodged a bullet in my area and amazingly didn't even lose power which is a common occurance. I Larger than some states and the only thing around. The cell was enormous and was the only thing around. I was able to go to the waters edge to snap a couple shots before the deluge.
