So to try something different, how about a perpetual quiz thread? I am thinking we have a question out there, then whoever answers it gets to ask the next question.
I'll start it off... What is the first street south of the numbered streets? |

Anne Baxter
I've actually edited the Wikipedia article on MC where she is listed. BTW: Very, very, veeeerrrryyyy disappointed that no one could name our last 10 mayors. A quick visit to City Hall would have resolved that. Lazy butts. ![]() "The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. Here's what I remember - Francis Fedder Randall C. Miller Conrad Kominarek Joe LaRocco ??? Sheila Chuck O. Maybe someone can fill in the blanks.... |

You're missing Cliff Arnold and Bob Behler, between LaRocco and Sheila. But that's still only 8. That takes us back a long way... To the 50's if my math is right. I think that is pretty impressive for the mostly Gen-X crowd we have around these parts. Once we get answers we should put a post up on the MC Wiki page with the list of mayors. Its kind of a shame that it isn't on there currently. |

Once we get answers we should put a post up on the MC Wiki page with the list of mayors. Its kind of a shame that it isn't on there currently. That's a good idea. You should know there is someone else (Xenophon777) editing there who keeps shooting me (2lakes) down. He didn't like it when I listed Mayor Krueger under "Famous People From Michigan City," and then to appease that person, I created a category called "Leading Citizens of Michigan City," with which he also disagreed. Take a look at the "discussion" and "history" tabs at the top of the page and you'll see what I mean. Still, you're right. I could bring the entire list (all of our mayors), and I think we should try to post it. My question: As a young boy, Mayor Krueger saw which President? I'll check for answers this afternoon. ![]() "The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation.
