Marram has to acknowledge the answer and deem it correct first.

8th and York Only half right and still about one mile off. But you're getting warrrrmmmeeerrrrrr! "The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. It is common sense to take a method and try it: If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something."

Hint #1: There is a large half-buried rectangular stone in front of the house that says "M T Krueger."
Hint #2: It would take me 10 seconds to get up from my computer and be able to see it. "The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. It is common sense to take a method and try it: If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something."

In the interest of not dragging this out too much, the answer is: on the north side of the 1500th block of East 8th Street, about one and a half blocks from Memorial Park.
So, next question: Name the last ten mayors of MC (bonus: in order). "The country needs and, unless I mistake its temper, the country demands bold, persistent experimentation. It is common sense to take a method and try it: If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something."

Post mortem: This quiz has been killed by the constipation of obtuse questions.
Treatment: Lighter questions, easier-to-find answers. The difference between genius and stupidity is that there are limits to genius. Albert Einstein

Just to get it started properly, Ang has the conch. Unpunctuated responses have to be checked by her, and She says who is right. Then that person can ask a question, etc.
Here is my answer: mayor who first set aside land for what would become our Washington Park The difference between genius and stupidity is that there are limits to genius. Albert Einstein
